Filtration Services

LSG offers a wide variety of hydraulic, turbine, gear, and Circulating oil filtration Services. We can meet or exceed your machines recommended ISO Cleanliness Levels in a matter of hours. Our state of the art filtration carts and skids are easy to maneuver and take just a small footprint on your plant floor. LSG is available to perform filtration services while your plant is running, on a scheduled shut down, on the weekend, and most important of all in emergency situations. We are on call 24 Hours a Day, 7 Days a week.

Vacuum Dehydration Services

LSG provides Vacuum Dehydration Oil Purification Services with the latest in technology Vacuum Dehydrators. Our Vacuum Dehydrators are suitable for use on a wide variety of lubrication oils. These machines are designed to efficiently remove moisture (free, emulsified, and dissolved) to overall water content as low as 20 PPM. They also come equipped with a single high-efficiency 5-Micron pleated micro glass filter element rated Beta(c)>1000 per ISO 16889, meaning that 99.9% of all particles 5-Micron and larger will be removed in a single pass. This element will enable you to quickly and reliably achieve very low particle counts to meet or exceed recommended Cleanliness Levels.

Several design features enable our vacuum dehydrators to consistently outperform others on the market today. We utilize Permanent Dispersion Media in the vacuum chamber rather than coalescer filter elements, resulting in optimal water extraction rates and eliminating the need for frequent and costly coalescer element change-outs. Our systems utilize an internally lubricated "claw-style" vacuum pump, which pulls deeper vacuum and requires much less maintenance than other conventional vacuum pumps. Finally, our systems are equipped with a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), which greatly enhances their overall performance on high viscosity oils, during cold start-ups, or when a restricted inlet condition.

Varnish Removal Services

LSG offers high speed electrostatic varnish removal services. These services are specifically designed for Power Plant applications. Varnish or lacquer is a high molecular weight substance that is insoluble in oil. If left untreated, varnish insolubles will agglomerate into larger particles and deposit on machinery surfaces, especially around critical small clearance areas and orifices. This film will build over time and cause numerous problems including mechanical wear, system sticking, filter plugging, poor heat transfer, catalytic deterioration of the lubricant, and eventual mechanical failure. Varnish is a large problem in todays stressed Industrial Environment. Lubrication Services Group has the resources to remove varnish in turbine, hydraulic and industrial circulating systems utilizing both service and equipment offerings and a unique process to help remove varnish and maintain system cleanliness.

Leakage Oil Reclamation

It is often impractical to repair or control oil leaks, especially if the equipment is critical to production.  Fortunately, the oil reclamation experts at LSG have a solution. LSG technicians will conduct on-site plant study to provide a solution that will help you make sure the used oil stream is properly collected and segregated, making it possible to restore a quality lubricant for continued use.

Oil System PM

Oil reservoirs on circulating systems, bulk tanks, gear sumps, and similar equipment typically require regular inspection and cleaning of contamination generated by component wear, lubricant oxidation, and/or external sources. The recommended service frequency is every three to five years, depending on the specific application, operating temperatures, and the general environment.

We provide routine oil system inspection, cleaning, and lubricant purification to ensure the long-term reliability of your critical production equipment.

Contamination Control Investigation

Excessive lubricant leakage, shortened component life and inconsistent operation can result from system defects and restrictions in the oil lines, typically caused by contamination deposits from oxidation, wear, or external sources. LSG will conduct a plant study that will identify suffering points and contamination entry areas within the lube system.  Following the investigation a report will be used outlining what was found with recommendations for correcting the problems. To make your job easier, LSG offers a turnkey preventive maintenance solution.  We provide routine oil system inspection, cleaning, and lubricant purification to ensure the long-term reliability of your critical production equipment.

Initial Fill Filtration Services

New equipment installations can introduce unwanted contamination into the oil circulation system and related piping.  Left unchecked, particulate matter introduced during manufacturing or installation can lead to severe wear or failure when the machine is put into operation. We will coordinate with the lubricant delivery, filter the new oil into the lube reservoir, perform dialysis filtration of the entire lubrication system, and certify that the initial fill charge meets OEM specifications.  As a result, you can put the equipment into service with confidence. LSG can also work with plant personal and construction personal to design and implement an on-board filter skid that will keep the oil at acceptable cleanliness levels during operation.

Heat Transfer System Flush

The presence of oxidation and carbon buildup in your heat transfer system can severely compromise process efficiencies.  This is especially true for large, integrated heat transfer systems in process industries such as chemical plants, asphalt plants, and paper mills, as well as general manufacturing such as rubber and plastic plants.  When such an event occurs, you may need to flush the heat transfer oil system to remove the oxidation and carbon contamination.Fortunately, the flushing experts at LSG can help.  To correct this problem we offer Heat Transfer System Flushing of the oil circulation system following recommendations from us or your lubricant supplier.

Equipment Lease and Rental Program

LSG can also lease and/or rent Oil Filtration Equipment for jobs that may be too long or too short to require our on-site staff. We have a diverse supply of Vacuum Dehydrators, filtration carts, electrostatic Varnish carts, and Coalescers to save your company time and money bringing your systems oil to acceptable cleanliness levels for continued use.
